So this unit is great. Unfortunately Apple CarPlay doesn't always load up when plugged in. About 25 percent of the time I have to turn the unit off and back on for it to work. Gets pretty annoying. Otherwise love the deck completely. Very tweakable audio.Factory EQ presets are lackluster. (Possibly designed to work with oem speakers) but can sound great when you make your own EQ curve. DVD player works well, I hooked up an external 1tb hard drive and the menus are easy to navigate. If they could make the Apple CarPlay work consistently that would make me bump my rating up to 5 stars. Factory stereo radio brackets from my Nissan Juke worked on jvc deck so that was great.

This only came out this month (I was the first one to get one at the store they hadn't even put them out yet) and so far I am very impressed! It has all the features I wanted in upgrading my car stereo (Apple Carplay, bluetooth, cd player) and it even has two usb cords so you can connect a memory stick (for music) and a phone and it has a siri button! I previously bought the alpine lx-007 carplay stereo last month (which I had issues with because it wouldnt stay connected to my phone) but I must say the jvc kw-v820bt is miles ahead of that alpine which did not have bluetooth or even a cd player it. This checks all the boxes I was looking for and oh yeah, the sound quality is awesome too!

Great stereo, it does what it says. I had it for almost 1 year and so far it has nothing that can complain about. Connects to my iPhone right away and the Apple car play starts up fine. The navigation is from my phone so no other navigation equipment is required. Sounds is great. EQ is ok but I do have an external AmP that I use. I did however did have to purchase a hardware divice to have full control including with steering wheel controls. The screen and touch sensitivity is good there is one thing that I can improve is the brightness on the screen. I’m good with it after I tinted my windows. I have it installed on. 2007 corvette.

This is a good buy on sale. I bought it as a "Deal of the Day", which included installation, I didn't have a lot of info other than it was BT, CD,DVD and had an auxiliary jack. I was putting this in my 2006 Ford F250 and was looking forward to an upgrade, happy to find something that would fit in my truck. When the unit arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find out it had phone and navigation capabilities. Just know that the nav uses google maps and does not work with an iPhone 7. I could not get it to sync with my android either, so disappointed,but didn't expect it anyway. As far as install, was happy with the workman ship, but make sure to let the installer know where you want your usb and aux jack. I will be returning to get them moved. Good deal on sale, but I wouldn't pay full price..

Bought it with Black Friday savings, installation included ! It was a good price has Bluetooth and apple CarPlay through lightning cable , the UI was easy to learn and use, back up camera ready No navigation with out iPhone No hi radio but it's ok I have Spotify and pandora

I got this on a Black Friday special, which included installation. Saved me about $600 over all.. which made me happy. I've only had it in my Jeep Patriot for a few days, but what I have seen-- I really like. I have tinted windows, so the glare isn't too much of an issue for me. If you don't have tint, the glare will be rough. I like that it has 2 USB cords for 2 phones. The Apple play is great since I prefer using Apple maps for navigation. Overall.. much better than my factory installed radio.

This radio is pretty great! Installation was pretty straightforward and not difficult. I connected a backup camera at the same time. The best feature (in my opinion) 60 slots to store your favorite song or artist and when that song or artist is on a different channel the radio will notify you and you can chose to hear it or ignore it. The only negative I've seen so far is every time you turn the car on you have to agree with the terms. It's just hitting agree and not that bad but the only thing I can think of.

Love the back up camera on the unit. It is awesome. Great sound and we had a great technician who installed the unit. Apple play is awesome.

I bought this 2 weeks ago finally installed the unit, and absolutely love it. I did read a review that said you can't fine tune radio. But that is not true you can easily fine tune through radio stations. At the top of the tuner screen it has auto1,auto2 and manual. If it's switched to manual you can fine tune to your favorite station. Apple CarPlay is amazing and works perfectly. Best upgrade on my vehicle so far.

I only give it 4 stars because Apple play is not without glitches. Sometimes it does not start after I plug my phone in which is a huge annoyance. That said, I also had problems with Apple play on a pioneer stereo so the problem seems to be with the app not the actual stereo. Stereo sounds great and is easy to use. Ability to personalize it is pretty good.

I'm glad I did my research and decided on this unit. The Apple CarPlay feature is great! The only draw back is the ability to see the screen when the sun is out. Other reviewers were truck owners and said a car could possibly be best, but it's still kind of hard to view everything on the screen. Other than that, I'd highly recommend it.

Needed something for my GF's car and at the price point this fit the bill. I have other more higher end products but the main thing needed for this car was just to have Apple CarPlay. Basically when plugged in the apple screen menu is all the same so in this regard it's just fine. My main issues tho small is the screen is not ver clear for some reason seems not as sharp as say my Pionner NX8000 again you get what you pay for. It also does have some glare issues but that could be the angle of the screen in the car. And the only other real problem is no physical buttons for tracking up or back. This is minor but could be annoying as you have to go back to whatever screen your source is to skip songs. Overall for the price this is a fine unit and does the job well for a price lower than anything else on the market.

Interface is very quick, and simple to use. Apple play connectivity is fairly quick to connect, and after a little tinkering, the sound is very very good with the base equipment of my car. My only complaint is that I cannot use Waze with apple play. That could be a future thing. Everything else works like a charm.

Installed it myself in a 2008 chevy Tahoe , very easy. Make sure you get everything you need before hand (rear cameras, steering control hub and radio adapter) because it's just a bit of a pain to take everything apart. Bluetooth hooks up seamlessly and the USB with the apple CarPlay a great as well.

Purchased for our 16 year old son wanted to upgrade radio in 2005 Chevy Silverado to support Bluetooth and GPS. Also added a back-up camera that displays on the radio screen. Phone easily links to radio, back-up camera links - installed by Best Buy Geek Squad - no problems, excellent service.

But this radio to replace my OEM and needed CarPlay capability. It’s great because I don’t need to spend the extra money for serious features so it definitely does the trick. Only recommendation I would make is their stock interface is pretty blah however pretty much every product guys considered is poured in that sense (CarPlay interface is different).

The main reason I wanted to upgrade was so I could get Bluetooth and apple carplay in my Suburban. That works fine and I love that part. The Sirius xm interface isn't the best- you cannot customize your presets with the name of the channels is the main disappointment there. Also the instruction booklet said it should have the game alert and song alert features but it does not. Read the yellow paper BEFORE you read the instructions and spend and hour trying to figure out why they aren't working. And of course like other reviews the satellite sync clock doesn't work. But overall it looks nice has good sound and does what I wanted it to do.

This stereo makes life so much more convenient! Aesthetically it looks very nice and is very easy to use. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because some features don't work as I'd hoped they would. Talking to Siri takes more effort than it should and when your phone is connected sometimes it doesn't allow you to send your own text messages from the phone. You either have to speak them to Siri or unplug your phone. It's a minor inconvenience but annoying at times. I do hope that Apple comes out with more apps that are compatible with the apple carplay in the future just to make it well worth the investment.

Sound is awesome, functionality unbeatable , with not 1 but two USB ports if you own an iPhone then CarPlay works perfectly brings and yes Siri is awesome with it
