Yes it will fit a 2000 Cavalier. There are some additional parts required to get it to fit properly. If you are unsure of the parts required check out a local store and they have a fit guide and the parts for most Chevy's in stock.

I suspect it fits in many cars. The cost differential will come in the type of face plate to hold it in the dash and the wiring harness to adapt it to your car.
