QuestionWhen this is fully retracted, is the tv centered over the base of the mount? I have a built in wall unit with a stud in the dead center and I'd like the tv to be centered in the middle of that space and not off center when the mount is retracted. Thanks!

- Answer This mount centers the wall plate with the tv plate when it's centered. The arms lay pretty flat either to the left or right.

QuestionWhat would be the recommended mount to use for a TV that will be placed on a stone fireplace?

- Answer Mounting on a stone fireplace is a lot harder than mounting to stone (no studs) If you are careful it can work if you have the right tools. First you need a drill bit made for use on stone;I would position the holes so that all are on a stone and not the grout. also check to insure that you are not drilling on a natural fractue line in the stone; most drilling in this type of hard material, will require an expandable insert to hold properely. IMPORTANT...make sure the drill bit is the proper size for the insert and the screw is the right size and made for stoneand do not over tighten. The Kanto - Full-Motion Wall Mount is the best wall mount that I have found for my TV. It is really a full range of motion mount...you change the tilt, the angle, the rotation and the distance from the wall. With all of these functions it will be much easier to position on the stones.

QuestionI may have to mount the permanent bar/holding structure in a stud off center. How much (in inches) can I move the TV once mounted, offset from the mount either to the left or right in order to "center" the TV.

- Answer Rick, There is no lateral adjustment on the M300, your TV will sit 5" always away from the right or left of the stud depending on which way you retract the arm. - Answer The M300 works well in corners. You would be attaching it to a stud on either side of the wall, it doesn't go directly in the corner. Most Samsung TV's work with our mounts if you contact us using the support button on our website and pass along your TV's full model number we can confirm compatibility.

- Answer TM, I've looked up the information for your TV and it is compatible with the M300. The wallplate of the M300 is 11 3/4" tall, and 3" wide. Please take note that the mounting location will be dependent on your stud location, if you are installing into wood studs. - Answer fina, You will not be able to move your TV to a vertical position without removing it from the mount, and that would only work with certain VESA patterns. We do not have any mounts that will allow you to move the TV from a vertical to horizontal position on the fly.
