In my case, there was a stud only 4" on one wall and 7" on the other corner wall, from the corner. All of these shelves must be mounted (for support) on a wall stud. That IS the final answer to your question. Good luck!:)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, I didnt see anyway to do that with this unit. The best you could do is mount the vertical close to a corner, but that is not how it was designed.
