A:AnswerThis unit is designed to be installed in vehicles with a double DIN installation site. Please refer to your vehicle manual for confirmation of the type you require.
A:AnswerI'm not sure which radio you had installed. I have the kenwood ddx9703s. no problems with crackling. but major problems trying to mirror my phone. and then using android auto - I get incoming calls and my screen goes away. I can get the screen back by pressing the arrow on the bottom left - but my turn by turn and moving map stop........
not sure how to help you..........it doesn't seem that many out there know how to answers questions. I did read something that did speak to a static type noise on one of the Kenwood stereos but don't recall which model. perhaps the 9903s?
the most frustrating part of all this is that no one has any answers. I would pursue the installation.....sounds to me like a loose connection if hitting a bump restores it.........
I have found with my radio that I can be listening to talk radio or something and when the turn by turn announces the next turn - that it extremely loud. louder than what I'd been listening to. and I don't know how to regulate that..........maybe it's supposed to be that way?
A:AnswerProbably. The Geek Squad guy researched my vehicle 2009 Dodge 2500 and made some recommendations such as a low cost USB Port installed in my dash tied to the radio. Real neat and clean. Take it to them and they will steer you right. Good luck.
