Make sure your phone doesn't connect to other bluetooth device at the time, I had this problem, I made my phone forget all other bluetooth devices, then I connected to this stereo. It worked.

I have the same problem. I think it's an installation issue with mine. I don't think the mic is hooked up correctly. People I was on the phone with heard me, but it was through the phone mic and not the radio mic. I can't use any hand free dialing through the radio.

Make sure that you plug in the Bluetooth mic.  If self-installed this is the biggest mistake
