• It does record your speed! I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about.

• It gives you an option to record with speed or you can turn the speed off so it won't be on the video.

• No it does not record speed, it only shows speed on the video camera when live recording. I bought it because I was told by an uninformed staff member that it does record your speed. The on/off in video record setting is for showing speed or not, not to record. Plus video quality us terrible for what was supposedly a $149 unit now $99. It is so bad can't read a license plate right in front of you if your life counted on it. This will be a return item asap..

• This device does NOT record speed in the video, it only shows it on the camera while recording live. I repeat, it does not record for the video play back. I bought It because I was told it does. The staff at BestBuy need to learn about their products.
