This camera must be plugged in for live recording. It doesn't need to be plugged in when in "park" mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a plug and play. You can hardwire if you prefer but have to buy items needs as they don’t come with the dash cam. Must be plugged in to charge or hardwired. If your plug turns off when vehicle is parked the cam will shut off shortly after and won’t protect in parked mode. If your plug stays live then it will go into park mode to protect your vehicle when your away.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.-Sticks to the windshield (seems to be high quality adhesive) -Plug and play though you need to go into settings and change preferences -Needs to be plugged in 24/7. Battery is apparently for memory or standby. -Park mode has separate gforce and motion detection settings -Video has it's own gforce setting -I installed a 128gb memory so can confirm that at least works. Upon inserting, screen will flash. Go to the "Format" option and format the drive. This gives 11gb in PARK, 11gb Emergency, and rest for normal video if you use all 3; have 3 options for splitting up the hd space -My Samsung S9 easily read and played the videos, and makes sifting through 177 videos quick -Has GPS and tracks MPH. Need to use something online for coordinates though. -Can record continuous with video It's a good camera. Screen is small, but it records with a good FOV. Someone else complained in a review but watching on S9 or TV it looks good. Only real gripe with the phone is it doesn't have a night vision option, and unsure why it's advertised as 32gb "max" when it can clearly format and allocate up to at least 128gb. Buttons are also on the right side on the unit, flush, and smooth. Might originally be for the left-hand drive Japanese market where your left thumb would adjust. Using an index finger can be awkward.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You plug it into the cigarette lighter, but if you want it to record after you shut off your vehicle, you need to buy separate wires to install to battery power that is on all the time.
