Well, your question has 4 answers. First, there are no parking lines showing on the rear camera. Since it connects to the front (main) camera, the rear camera shows up in a small corner of the screen on the front cam. It would be at to small for you to see anything. Theoretically, you could use it as a front facing camera, but it connects to the front one for power, so that wouldn't work. The recording takes place in the main camera, as long as it's plugged in to it. If it's unplugged, the rear camera won't power up. The recording takes place through the front camera, and the files are stored in a memory card that you provide. It should be mounted at the very top of your rear window so it can capture the full field of view.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't give lines. It could be used as front facing but it is intended to be used in conjunction with a front facing Kenwood camera. Records to a sim card located in the front facing camera and will not work without one. Uses an adhesive to mount to the inside of the rear window.
