- Answer No. You can use the Keurig without a water filter and use tap water, if you wish. I use filtered water from my fridge, or purified bottled water (which is more pure that tap water). It has more to do with eliminating any bad taste in the water than anything functional on the brewer.

- Answer Hi Car and thank you for your question. The Keurig Classic Brewing System's model number is the K55. It takes K-Cups. All Keurig K-Cups are compatible with our original style brewers such as the K55 and our new K2.0 brewers. We hope this information is helpful.

- Answer The Keurig My K-Cup Universal Reusable Coffee Filter is compatible with all Keurig Home Coffee Makers, including the K-Classic. Please note, you will need to remove the 2.0 adapter on the bottom of the accessory and remove the K-Cup Holder in your brewer in order for it to fit properly. QuestionI bought my K-50 second hand. I'm not even sure if that is the correct model. How do I get it to brew a full cup. It only brews small portion at a time. I have the water filled to top.

- Answer I had this problem as well. Sometimes the place where the water come out gets clogged and it doesn’t make a full cup, Take a needle or pin to unclog, and it will flow freely after that.

- Answer My understanding is the "descale" is an indicator telling you it is time to clean the machine. I have never had that light up. To clean the machine I simply run a water/vinegar solution through the machine and then refill the water reservoir 4-5 times and run all that water straight through to clean up the leftover vinegar residue.

QuestionAbout 2 weeks ago, we purchased our first Keurig K50, which I had been looking forward to. Love the process of making coffee with it, but why is this machine so noisey? From start to finish, very noisey.! Is it supposed to be like this? Need replaced?
