“Why did my K-cup explode when I brewed it? Grounds and water went everywhere: in the cup, all over the inside of the pod holder and down the outside of the machine. When I used a re-fillable pod, it works fine.”

Thanks for your question. Pre-puncturing pods can help with pressure build up and may relieve this issue you are experiencing. You can try this by placing the K-Cup pod into the holder and press down on the K-Cup pod to puncture the bottom before brewing to release this pressure. If you have a water softener and use the water from the tap this can happen. We switched to bottled water to avoid this.
