QuestionAnyone have trouble with this new machine tripping the AFCI breakers? I have a new home, no problems with any other appliances. Googled the issue and its very common problem with Keurig coffee makers. But I didn’t find how to correct the problem.

- Answer We had the same issue, GFCI would trip the breaker especially when brewing a 12oz cup. Solved it by plugging in a surge protector into the GFCI outlet and then plugging the Keurig into the surge protector. No more breakers tripping, at least for us, hope that helps.

QuestionI want to be sure before purchasing, but can you still use generic k-cups in this new machine? I have no problems with my original Keurig, but someone said the k-cups have to be licensed by Keurig and currently I use cheaper Victor Allen k-cups .

- Answer Yes, you can use the refillable pods! It works great, however, make sure you get the right one to get the best result. You want the one that has the 5 holes in the top. The other work, but are not nearly as good. The beauty of this newer Keurig is that it has water run through the whole pod, not just one hole. The taste is considerably better because of this, especially when using high quality coffee. It is surprisingly good compared to the past Keurig versions, which I never was happy with. This is the only Keurig I've kept after buying it. BTW, highly recommend Laughing Man coffee pods if you use pods. I bought them at Sam's Club recently.

- Answer This shouldn't be a problem because it puncture the 5 holes on the top to allow the coffee to get fully saturated but it still comes out of the bottom through one hole.
