A:AnswerYes the sub has a lot versatility for mounting on different surfaces. It is well worth the effort and price I spent on this product it's very good.
A:AnswerMy suggestion is to make a 4 sided cardboard tube the size of this unit and crease the sides so they fold in and slide this into the location you would like to use. You can then put your hand inside the tube to expand it. This is how I tested the fit and found it would work although I had to remove 2 seat bolts to get the real unit to slide in. This was on a second generation Tacoma however the technique would work on any vehicle.
A:AnswerOne Kicker Hideaway works great, especially when space is an issue, but its kinda pricey. If you really want to thump hard and turn heads and have the space, then a more traditional setup with a separate amp and Sub would be a better option and probably less money than two Kicker Hideaways.
A:AnswerYes, because it is in cabin there is plenty of bass. It fits under your seat. There is an adjustment knob to lower or increase the amount of bass. Don't expect the car to shake with bass like if you spent a lot of money on dual 18s that you hooked up to a separate mono amp in your trunk. But for anyone wanteing to add bass as opposed to loud thumping this Kicker unit does a nice job.
A:AnswerI was told by the install guys that they recommended a marine rated sub for my Wrangler that was marine rated just in case. I bought this one and was told it would be ok if it got wet but is not recommended to be left like that for any length of time.
A:Answerif your Mercedes is not equipped with the upgraded stereo system this is a great filler for easy added sound to make your music experience better. I added more speakers only because adding this sub exposed the flaws in the basic speakers set up from Mercedes. it does however work well with Mercedes master system.
A:Answeryes it does. if u want to run it to ur radio then you'll need something extra to connect to radio subwoofer port. thats what i did. I know nothing about car wiring but I installed it myself. it was a lot easier than I thought. great speaker.
A:Answeralthough it has to be wired, it can be removed. Mine is only secure with Velcro. The new location will have to be wired also. This unit does not produce booming base. It was a mild addition to my exsisting system. Not sure I would recommend if strong base is desired
