Yes, a remote is needed and is not included but will cost around $50. If you don’t care about changing the color, when installing the speakers you can select from the many colored ground wires ( or combination of wires ) to get the color you want. It will stay this color without changing.

Please try again later.Option 1 - You can hardwire them the color of your choice Option 2 - You can hardwire them the color of your choice and add a toggle switch to turn the color on or off. Option 3 - You can purchase the remote and control all colors, On - Off and speed of flash. ( I think the remote is around $ 30.00 - $40.00 )
