“My KitchenAid KCMS185JSS-3 release latch just broke and it appears the parts are discontinued. What replacement microwave would have the same dimensions as my old one? It is installed in a cabinet so I need it to fit in the same trim kit if possible.”

The KMCS1016GSS 1.6 cuft microwave is close enough in dimensions (it's 1/4" higher) to fit in the same trim kit as my previous convection model. However, I warn you that I have gone through several "new" units since the convection MW failed. There were problems due to mishandled shipping, sending an inoperative used unit and extremely uneven heating after iinstallation. I'm supposed to be picking up another one tomorrow at Best Buy - this time I will open and test it in their presence!
