“This microwave was configured to vent through the roof, but the suction at the bottom is poor. I noticed that the vent at the top of the door is sucking air in as well. Is it supposed to be sucking air in there as well as the bottom when roof venting?”

Mine is the same. Check with total tech if correctly installed
