“Can the Kitchen Aid over the range convection/microwave ( model kmhc319ess) be installed in a space that does not have outside venting? There isn't venting now over the range mw. Is recirculating filter/vent adequate for convection feature?”

i8chocolate, the Microwave can be either vented to the exterior or recirculating, but it does comes set at recirculating. More information can be found in the Installation Instructions: https://www.kitchenaid.com/content/dam/global/documents/201408/installation-instructions-W10724870-RevA.pdf.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yep, that is the way that mine is installed and it works fine. That is why it has a built in air filter. In most cases, there is no actual venting over a range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My installation did have external exhaust but all over the range microwaves come with conversion kits for either internal or external venting. I cannot answer how well the recirculating filter works.
