“How high should the bottom of the microwave be from the cooktop? I'm 5'5' and want to be able to look into the microwave without banging my head on the microwave door when cooking. Also, don't want anything to spill on me when I take it out - too high.”

Mine is 18 inches from cook top. I'm 5'1". I can't see in but that's not really an issue. You don't want it too close to the cook top because of the heat. I would check with the manufacturer.
