“Can you use a metal pan in this microwave on convection mode? The manual says you can but the microwave has a prompt that says to use only microwave safe pans.”

When using it as convection you can use a metal pan. If using it as a microwave then no.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes in convection mode you can. Keep in mind it should not be to large compared to the food cooking or air will have a tough time circulating. But do not allow anything metal in for microwave mode except the included meal rack which rests on the porcelain holders.
