Q: QuestionI am replacing a 36 inch ge microwave. Obviously they do not make 36 inch microwaves anymore. Can you suggest a filler kit that would be compatible with this? I haven't had any luck researching this and want to make sure it looks good. Thanks.

• A:Answer I don't know what a sizzle pan is, but depending of the size of the pan, (handle included), it would. You can also stop the turntable on this model, this would eliminate the handle hitting the interior. Hope this helps.

• A:Answer What are the dimensions? Depth, length, width? by Anonymous 6 months ago 17 1/8" Depth with wall mounting bracket on the back, if you add the handle 19 1/4". Length 17 1/8" and the width 29 7/8" it fits snug under my cabinets but it does come out 5 1/2 inches further past my cabinets

• A:Answer The door opens past a 90 degree angle but not by much. It allows for the oven/microwave to be totally open and it is very easy to place items into it or remove them. The door does not hit my cabinet door on the left side when it is open. I have found this unit to work quietly and effectively. The convection oven works very well.

• A:Answer I'm fairly certain that just means the steam sensor is still doing its thing and the computer can't yet tell you how much cook time is remaining. Once it stops "determining" it will start to display a countdown time instead.

Q: QuestionOurs is new. It has six fan speeds - but does NOT vent anything from the stovetop. Any time we cook anything on the stove the microwave is totally covered in condensation. Geek Squad out twice - no better. They don't know how to make work. Anyone know?

Q: QuestionCan I use a square pan with this microwave in convection mode? how big can it be? does it have to fit in the turntable? (does it turn around in convection-only mode or can I use it without it turning?)

• A:Answer Make sure whatever pan you use it is NOT metal. Apply the same rules as you would to the microwave. Back to your other questions. You can turn off the turntable, which I do when baking. I have put in a 9x14 casserole dish with no problem. While it says not to use the rack unless cooking multi items I have used it for the large casserole dish only because it felt safer to me, but it fit on the circular metal stand with no problem.

• A:Answer You can set it for auto on and off. We usually set ours for auto on 5am and off 7am but there is no timer for the light other than the auto on/off feature. I do suggest taking one bulb out because with 2 halogen bulbs it produces excessive heat inside the microwave but having only one bulb lit it does reduce the heat to warm rather than hot.

Q: QuestionConfused abt installation measurements: in video it says make sure there's @ least 30" from counter to bottom of upper cabinets (like where bottom of micro/oven would be) but that seems too high. PDF shows 30" to TOP of cutout made for it, WHICH IS RIGHT?

• A:Answer we just had Geek squad install this unit, it fits perfectly with the KitchenAid microwave top edge being 34.5 inches above the counter. The lower edge of the microwave is 19 3/8 inches above the counter. This leaves still 2 inches of cabinet left and right to extend lower than the base of the angled side section. We have some extra tall cabinets and fed the power cord through the base of one of the two cabinets above the microwave, looks perfect. You just want to make sure that the rear of the microwave, lower edge, covers the subway tile top edge or wall material installed behind your cooktop (don't leave a gap). The 30 inches is not enough to allow the microwave bottom to clear a tall pot of boiling water you may use for pasts and you don't want the steam to be right below the fan area on the bottom of the microwave, that can lead to internal condensation onto the electronics boards resident in the door.

• A:Answer There is an adjustable vent at the top of the unit that can either point forward to vent out of the top front of the unit, or can be pointed up so that it can attach to another vent that is connected externally. The installation instructions show how to do this and is easy to do (the re-pointing of the built-in vent, attaching to the external vent may be another issue).
