QuestionWhen replacing the filter is there a way to shut water off without pulling the refrigerator to reach the main shut off valve.

- Answer To change out the filter you don’t need to turn the water off to the fridge. When you drop the carrier for the cartridge to remove the filter it automatically shuts the water off in the refrigerator.

QuestionManual discusses Convertible Drawer Temp Control with a set for meat vs veggies. Does NOT say "on some models." We were provided with one crisper drawer with a humidity slide. The bottom drawer is just open handle with no Meat or Veggie settings. ?????

- Answer It's pretty cut and dry. Go to the control panel, hit options and a new set of controls will appeal. Hit reset filter, go back until the correct set of controls appear. It's just one screen, you can do it!

QuestionMy ice maker in my double door Kitchenaide is not working. I had the water turned off because of a leak in the copper feeder line. When fixed the water flowed to the fresh water feed, but ion not getting flow to ice maker. Is there a block to icemaker?

- Answer No, but there is a switch. Take the ice bucket out and make sure the switch is turned ON. Make sure nothing is blocking the "eye" that turns the ice maker off, indicating it's full. It's similar to the "eye" on your garage door opener, same principle.

QuestionWe currently have a kitchen aid refrig and have loved it. We've been having trouble with our ice maker having filaments floating in our drinking water and when the ice melts. We have changed the filter too. Will a new refrig take care of this problem?

- Answer I would go ahead and dump the current ice in your fridge and then rinse out the container and that should take care of your issues.

QuestionPeriodically, the top vent of the freezer pumps out a thick cloud, actually blocking your view, and puts a layer of ice on the icemaker and shelves. It eventually stops and the cloud and ice disappears. The temperature inside is fine. What is going on?

- Answer Outside the freezer door, there is a control panel. Press the "Temperature" button for at least 3 seconds, and the panel will light up. Hold the button down as the LED counts to 3, at which time the current temperature will display. You can adjust the temperature up or down by pressing the button corresponding to "+" or "-". Hope this helps.

- Answer Yes, the water should be chilled. There is no way that the temp can be set that low on your 'fridge side. Read your owners manual and put it back to the defaults. The defaults are freezer at zero and the 'fridge side 42.
