• A:Answer There is a dispenser light, it is not able to be turned off. It will turn on automatically when you use the dispenser and then turn off again when not in use, unless the ambient lighting in the room is very low and then it will turn on as a night light.

Q: QuestionMy Refri. doesn't go all the way inside the Cabinet unless I remove the Top Hinge Cover. The user guide says not to do it. Please Advise!!! Also there is a circular shape hole at the back panel of the refrigerator. What is the function of that design?

• A:Answer I had to take an oscillating tool and carve out my cabinets on the top side where the hinges go. Very odd that it doesnt fit into a standard opening.

• A:Answer Unfortunately No. The Platinum Interior, counter depth, only comes with thru the door water and ice. Model KRFC300ESS is the Counter depth WITHOUT water and ice thru the door but is does NOT have the Platinum Interior.

Q: QuestionIs this model Energy Star certified? Some sites mark it as such, but others don't. Not sure why KA would manufacture a frig that isn't.

Q: QuestionNovember, 2017, this model disappeared from Kitchenaid website. In fact, they now only offer two counter-depth models in french door configuration, neither of which has a water/ice dispenser on the door. Discontinued? Only one year old. Problems? Recall?

• A:Answer i had the same problem. Do you have high water pressure at your house? I installed an in line pressure regulator and problem solved. You attach it to the water line from the wall to the fridge.

We recommend the Affresh Brand and here is the link to that product: https://bit.ly/3vjVimg The Filter Reset procedure is on page 18 of the Owner's Manual and reads as follows: RESET FILTER — Touch MAX COOL and MAX ICE together for 3 seconds to reset the water filter. • A:Answer You probably need to return the fridge and have a new one delivered. Sounds like the control panel. We had a service person out and he suggested a return since our first one was 2 weeks old as well. The new one works perfectly.
