There is a high adjustment of 4 settings 34.5, 34.25, 34, 33.5"
The feet of the dishwasher can be removed for installation to lower the opening requirement. Our opening was only 34 3/8 and I believe the installer was able to lower the dishwasher to 34 1/8 for installation. He was able to mount installation brackets on the side, instead of the top to save room as well. I would call their installation department to confirm the exact spacing before ordering. We were told that none of the European brands (Bosch, Miele, etc.) have the capability of being lowered from 34.5"
It would be tight but would probably fit. You might not be able to use the top layer of insulation.
No. The specs show that a "minimum" requirement is around (I'm quoting from memory) 33.5". My opening was less than 34" (I think mine was around 33.7") and they had no problem with the installation.
Had this dishwasher installed last week. My opening is exactly 34.5” and it fits perfectly. It was installed professionally. I am not aware if there is any way to lower it from the bottom where it slides in and levels.
