On the lower rack, the tine spacing on the front two rows of tines can be adjustable from standard spacing to 2X spacing, so instead of 1-1/4" between times they are about 2-1/2" between tines. On the upper rack, the outer rows of times fold down, leaving two fixed rows of times running down the center.
