I have not had that problem. How long have you had the machine? Is the drain in the sink with food products? Did you grind your disposal before turning on? If not, it can cause a back up. Also, if the dishes are not clean, there could have been something that blocked the water to get to the dishes or the soap did not dispense correctly.
