Mine was a return unit never installed, no damage what so ever. No box and extra packing as original would be. My savings was only $50. I which the wife made the purchase. You would have to check with your store for returns if you don't like it. I'm sure there is a restocking fee if you choose to return it. My heat element is in the bottom and there is no vent because there was no extra installation other then the water supply, drain hose, and electrical. I'm assuming that the drain hose is used as a vent. Not sure.
