Hello SetAlias, the ESS has 2 Fold-Down Cup Shelves with Integrated Stemware Holders, and ProWash™ Cycle. The DSS has Advanced ProDry™ System, and ProScrub™ Option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Consumer Reports gave both dishwashers top marks (354DSS and 354ESS), and I can see why. The 354ESS is easily the best dishwasher I've ever owned. See my review. I will say that styles changes from one model year to the next. It looks like the DSS has a curved handle and the ESS has a cylinder handle. Feature-wise Consumer Reports show them as identical.
