“I was told there was an issue with this KitchenAid with the doors size and seal and they were working to repair it. Is this the fixed model or has KitchenAid not put that out yet?”

According to Kitchen Aid all 606 white interior models were affected by this issue and 706 platinum interior up until late 2015. The operator suggested calling them with the serial number of the fridge you are looking at and they can tell you if it is a problem child or you are in the clear.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We had an initial issue with the freezer drawer not sealing properly. It was nothing more than a couple of loose screws. I cannot speak to the matter otherwise. We like our fridge!
