• The French doors do not close by themselves. They have to be manually closed, unlike the older model that we owned.

• Hi Sooz, this unit doesn't have a self closing door feature, however, it is equipped with an open door alarm. Hope this helps!

• They don’t have an auto shut but they are pretty heavy that when they are opened slightly, they’ll close.
