• A:Answer Hello ~ Yes, we purchased this kitchenaid microwave and wall oven unit combo back in September 2020 (previously owned General electric wall oven microwave combo), and have been lovingthe kitchenaid line --- we purchased a dishwasher from ktichenaid the year prior! Not sure how to answer your question on installation. We had an approved installer with Best Buy come out for the install (I believe, though, the gentleman who came out stated that the trim piece is included with the price and install of the unit) --- not sure if the 8 inch difference you are talking about in your situation will be enough for the piece of trim included by Kitchenaid; it's best to check with their installation team (since COVID times, we had the Best Buy installer come to house --- we were masked up and they were as well --- they measured everything prior to install and purchase... best to check on this --- it should be a FREE service for them to come out to make sure you can install unit without gaps.)
