“Two more questions - should this have three racks? And is the water tray supposed to be connected to the missing rack? I checked with the installers and they said this was everything... but clearly not.”

Hello! Model KSGB900ESS does come with three racks. You would place the water on the bottom of the range. There is no water tray. If you are missing a rack, we would recommend contacting KitchenAid® at 1(800)422-1230. We are available M - F 8 am to 6 pm EST. They will be better able to assist you.
