• Bebe, In case of a prolonged power failure, the surface burners cannot be lit manually on model KFDD500ESS. No attempt should be made to operate the appliance during a power failure. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our KitchenAid appliances!
