Hello Susanadana, Any flat bottomed cookware will work (no grooves or raised areas on the bottom that do not touch the surface); however, we have found that glass cookware is the least efficient, cast iron contributes most toward deterioration of the cooktop over time, copper or aluminum bottomed more likely to easily scratch the cooktop, and stainless steel bottom cookware is the most efficient and least likely to cause damage or scratch. Care must be taken with any cookware not to slide the items being used across the surface of the glass.
