“We have this cooktop ready to install and it has no external regulator. Can KitchenAid Team provide a clear answer - does it need a regulator for residential use, and if so, must it be a KA? If not, is that because it has an internal regulator?”

Install manual, Page 5, Parts Supplied, Parts needed: no mention of regulator. Page 9, "Gas pressure regulator: "The gas pressure regulator supplied with this cooktop must be used." There is no regulator attached to the gas inlet pipe as shown in the diagrams. I guess it was attached at one time but was removed. How do I get a replacement?

We do highly recommend installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency or the gas supplier.
