Q: QuestionDoes the exterior stay cool to the touch when this unit is cooking at it's highest temperature (meaning, I can touch silver exterior and not burn myself)?
Asked by RoyFromLasAnges.
- A:Answer Haven't used it on high, yet, but would be shocked if exterior got hot. America's Test Kitchen rated it highest among slow cookers, and I am sure a cool exterior was one of their criteria.

Q: QuestionCan you program this on the keep warm setting only? Thinking about when you have parties and want to keep wings or something in the server but not cook them.
Asked by Hope.
- A:Answer Yes, you can. When you use that button after turning on the power, the display says "ON". This is a good slow cooker and part of the reason is the even heat that comes through a heating "plate" rather than the heating ring around the insert that some use. My lid does not sit completely flat on the ceramic insert but it turns out that it does not matter. It doesn't evaporate a lot of fluid since the heat is so low. Very easy to use and so far, reliable.
