Q: QuestionI have had a tilt head for many years but just recently broke. Cannot decide to get another tilt head or the bowl lift. Any opinions on which one to get please
Asked by Lisa.
- A:Answer Lifts are much sturdier. No joint, heavier motor housing, stronger motor all translate to more power and longer life. The lift is less convenient to use than the tilt, but is much more reliable. I've seen thick mixes cause the joint on a lift to wiggle loose, causing the head to wobble back and forth and fail to get an even mix at the edges - not a problem for a lift.

Q: QuestionCan the attachments from a series 5 be used on this one?
Asked by saj.
- A:Answer No. Different bowl sizes need different attachments to get the coverage touching the edges of the bowl. Small attachments for a large bowl won't mix the edges, large attachments for a small bowl will ram into the sides.

Q: QuestionAre the attachments stainless steel or coated? Photo shows stainless steel. Please advise
Asked by Beth.
This question was asked about the related product: KitchenAid - KP26M1XNP Professional 600 Series Stand Mixer
- A:Answer They are coated/painted. Seems to hold up well. However I can say for a fact the previous models weren’t stainless anyway. They always been aluminum like these are, they just weren’t coated. Both versions hold up well, however the coating prevents and corrosion.
