• Hi Suzie, KitchenAid does not offer a 6 quart mixing bowl for the Tilt Head Stand Mixer.

• "The Bowl design and material depend on the stand mixer model." That is a statement from the KitchenAid website. I don't know the answer to your question, but why not go to a small appliance store and try to put the 6 quart bowl on a 5 quart mixer. It will also depend on the style of mixer you have - Lift or Tilt.
