Just a quick answer I would say no b/c their bookshelf speakers have a much higher peak power than these. I have always used the surround speakers as my rears and towers/bookshelf speakers for fronts/sides.

These dipole Klipsch are for scattering the sound. So a medium size room or larger is best for these. Hey, Klipsch small bookshelf speakers kick butt and make killer surround speakers. Your room size is the decider.

If you are looking to get a ton of sound from your surround speakers (not necessarily recommended) then go with the r14m's. If you are looking for premium sound but at normal listening levels the r14s is the way to go. Either way your neighbors and your ears will "thank" you
