Can these speakers work as "In-Wall Speakers" ? null

Not in my view. Even if you recessed them in the wall you would lose whatever effect the rear facing port produces.

I think it would distort the sound because of the air port being blocked by being in the wall

I don’t think so, they are more for book shelves

I would say yes as long as you build a "box" for them to set in. They are bookshelf speakers.Make the box about 4"-9" deeper than the speaker is. They are rear ported so you want the sound to come out the back as well.
