Without a doubt they will handle 70w. I have been running 110w. Without any problems and I think they a rated at 250w.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes they can. Just be aware that the sensitivity of these speakers is very high. This results in the speakers being able to play loudly at lower wattages than 70 watts. I had a pair hooked up to a 100w per channel Onkyo and they handled all volume levels. They become very loud at higher levels but they do not distort! They are a bargain, quality audio investment!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm currently running them with a Sony receiver rated at 100W per channel with zero problems. They sound insanely good!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The R-51M is recommended at 85W per channel into 8 ohms. We would not recommend using that particular receiver with the R-51M. You may want to look into a smaller model like the RP-400M.
