No. Depending on you receiver, you could assign them as atmos speakers, but that wouldnt work since they are foward facing. Klipsch makes several atmos speakers. There is a floorstanding model with speakers built into the top facing up, but this is not that model
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These speakers are one component of creating a Dolby Atmos system. Typically these 820’s would serve as your front main channel and/or rear surround speakers. You would still need to purchase the Atmos height channel speakers to use in conjunction with these to have a fully functional Dolby Atmos system. Klipsch does make a line of tower speakers that are already equipped with Atmos height channel speakers built into the top panel of the cabinet, but these are not that model. I believe it’s the R-625-FA that already has the height channel already built into it. That model has 6 1/2” drivers not 8” drivers, however.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Klipsch RP-8060FA has the 8" woofers with the Atmos speakers facing upwards built in to the top of the speaker box. The F stands for floor and the A stands for having the Atmos speaker built in. The only problem is that you need a flat ceiling to bounce the sounds waves off of. If you ever move to a house with a sloping ceiling you're not going to get a good sound. Separate Atmos speakers can be set on top of a speaker box pointing toward the ceiling or wall mounted high up on the wall.
