It depends on the age of the T-50s. Just off hand I would say yes because of the watt upgrade and the fact that these are made for volume. I would recommend a Klipsch 12 in sub with can be balanced appropriately so the bass is not overbearing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I checked specs at Polk for T-50 model. Like most speakers the T-50 is a "direct radiator" - no horns. The 820F is considerably "more sensitive" - plays louder for given amplifier setting. It will almost certainly play cleaner for a given "SPL". The "voicing" will also be different - you may not like the new speaker better. Go to Magnolia - or any hifi store that can demo many speakers. Bring your favorite mucis - you may be surprised at the vast differences.
