Yes, you need WISA to play them. And that's the rub. Make sure you read reviews for both the Axiim link itself and the link app. Most reviewers have either not been able to get the device to connect to their speakers, or experienced terrible sound when they did. Why Klipsch would allow a terrible third party like Axiim to interfere with their sound is beyond me, but steer clear of WISA speakers for now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That is correct if you use the axim transmitter that comes with the package deal with your speakers. By the speakers separately and purchase the sounsend transmitter. Just as long as your tv/projector has arc/earc hdmi connection you will be good to go. The Wisa system is very unique, Checkout https://www.wisaassociation.org/soundsend/

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. There are a couple of devices for pairing the TV to the speakers. I bought the Axiim link that costs less than $250 and works great. Their customer service tech reps are also excellent. I believe LG sells a dongle for pairing as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you need a Wisa usb transmitter but I hooked the transmitter to my MacBook Pro and the speakers worked fine. Haven’t tried on anything else yet.
