“Does this help with cooling a gaming laptop to keep it from getting hot?”

The surface is not ventilated in any way and it's not specifically designed to cool a laptop. It's essentially just a plastic surface. However, it can fit a cooling mat with fans on top of it, which is what I do if I'm gaming.

Sort of. While not having active cooling via fans, it's certainly better than having your laptop on a soft surface like your lap or a bed. It will be the same as using a traditional hard top desk.

Yes it is much cooler on my lap. Don’t use my laptop for gaming,

No, this is only for resting your laptop in your lap. There are no ports or connections to it.
