• Don’t know the first question. But yes we use ours in the bathroom. Best heater we have ever find. Keeps bathroom and bedroom very warm.

• I would advise NOT. In the past I have used it in the bathroom then one day it quite working.. when I research it, it was said that the condensation messes with the heating element and causes it to stop working. So, it up to you if you want to take the chance.
