I am guessing that a 250 sq' room may be a little large for this heater to work well throughout the room.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it is quiet. We use it in our master bathroom which is 10' x 16'. 250 sq' is probably too large a space for this heater. I do not have another to recommend.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My room is close to 400 sqft and it definitely gets it nice and warm. You can barely hear it when it’s on which is perfect. When you turn on the oscillating feature it makes the slightest amount of sound. It’s a really good product.
