  • QuestionWould this work for a Subaru Solterra?

    Asked by Claire.

    • Answer From what I have read online, Subaru has reached an agreement with Tesla starting "next year", probably 2025. Subaru will also send out NACS adaptors to current EV owners. If you look in your Subaru app for charging stations, it should tell you if Tesla NACS stations will be compatible yet. Otherwise, save your money. Tesla will not engage charging even if you have the adaptor.

  • QuestionOn the Lectron site, this adapter is listed as 1000 volts / 500 amps. Here, it is listed as 1000 volts, with no mention of amps. The Chevy Blazer EV RS could draw more than 500 amps. Is this adapter okay for the Blazer?

    Asked by CDApple.

    • Answer The Lectron Vortex Plug Tesla Supercharger to CCS Adapter supports up to 1000 volts and 500 amps. The Chevy Blazer EV RS, which may draw more than 500 amps at peak power, could exceed the adapter's current rating. Using this adapter might limit the charging speed if the Blazer attempts to draw more power than the adapter supports. To ensure compatibility and optimal performance, check if your charging needs typically stay within 500 amps

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Yes, Volkswagen has officially entered into an agreement to adopt Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS), enabling its electric vehicles—including the ID.4—to access Tesla's Supercharger network. For guaranteed compatibility and support, it's advisable to wait for Volkswagen's official NACS-to-CCS1 adapter, expected to be available in June or July 2025.

  • QuestionDoes this poster work on regular Tesla charger?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Yes, the Lectron Vortex Plug Tesla Supercharger to CCS EV Adapter is designed to allow non-Tesla electric vehicles with a CCS (Combined Charging System) port to charge at Tesla Superchargers, which use Tesla's proprietary NACS (North American Charging Standard) plug. However, the compatibility might vary based on your vehicle and the specific Supercharger station, as some Tesla Superchargers may be restricted to Tesla vehicles only. Make sure to verify that the adapter is functioning correctly and that the Tesla Supercharger you're visiting is open for non-Tesla vehicles.
