Dear customer,We are sorry to hear that you had an issue with the lighting of this unit. Please note that the unit is equipped with a thermocouple that needs to be warmed up before each use Holding the knob in for 20 seconds after it ignites allows the thermocouple to warm up and disengage the safety mechanism which will shut off the gas flow.
