A:AnswerThose are called wall clamps. For further assistance with those, please contact Legrand-Wiremold Technical Support at 1-844-95-SERVE (1-844-957-3783).
A:AnswerWe have not tested the WMC701 kit with the specific type of TV you referenced. That being said, the coverplate of our grommet that will be behind the TV will protrude about 1/8" from the wall. You also need to consider the TV cord and what type of cord management space the TV itself offers.
A:AnswerIt can be at an angle you just gotta watch out for the wall studs. If you need to go through one you're gonna need a drill and other tools that will add some time to the job.
A:AnswerThat depends on your setup, but if you use a coax currently, then you will likely need one for installation as well. If you are not sure, please contact your installers for guidance.
A:AnswerThe use of the WMC701 above a gas fireplace is not forbidden. However, we would note the following:
1. Our product is intended to be mounted between two vertical studs. A power cord is provided to connect the lower module into a standard wall mounted outlet. The provided cord must be utilized and not substituted. Is there an outlet available above the fireplace? If not how will the provided cord be routed to the nearest outlet?
2. Does the TV manufacturer approve of the installation of their product above the gas fireplace?
3. Does the Mounting Hardware manufacturer approve of their product being mounted above the fireplace?
If the TV and Mounting Hardware manufacturer approve of the installation and our product is capable of being installed in compliance with our installation instructions (link below) then we do not foresee any issues.
Installation Instructions Sheet: https://www.legrand.us/-/media/products/resources/wiremold-products/at-home/hide-organize-cords/power-kit/1010497r2.ashx
As this is a unique installation, we would recommend consulting a professional installer.
A:AnswerAbsolutely. Just be careful to examine your mount before you make any holes to see if you need to install the kit above or below it. Some mounts will allow you to install within the mount itself, in other words they have a large enough space to put the mount over the receptacle, just take a close look at it first.
A:AnswerThe CMK70 product was not tested or evaluated to power multiple devices via connection to a plugstrip. As our installation instructions show, this unit is an extension from a wall socket meant to provide power to a Television.
All plugstrips are listed to UL 1363 and marked as follows; CAUTION: Risk of Electric Shock. Do not plug into another relocatable power tap or an extension cord.″
A:AnswerYes, this is how I am using this installation. The bottom cord from the WireMold plugs into the surge protector and the surge protector plugs into the wall outlet.
