Thank you for selecting the Lenovo IdeaPad 310-15 laptop. With regard to the heat on the right palm rest, the system should never become hot. It may normally get warm but never hot. If you are concerned, we recommend you bring the device in to your nearest Best Buy and have the Geek Squad examine the device and give you guidance as to your next steps.
